How do we collect personal data?
directly from you: for example if you enter into an agreement with us, when you contact us by e-mail, telephone or in writing, when you place an order in our webshop or when you register for activities such as workshops or other events.
via third parties: we may receive personal data via third parties, for example if someone orders flowers to be delivered to a recipient. This privacy statement also applies to data collected through third parties.
What personal data do we process?
if you place an order via our website: your first and last name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, payment details, order notes (if it includes personal data), the content of your e-mail(s) (if it includes personal data), IP address and optional account information.
if you place an order via telephone / in store: your first and last name, billing address if applicable, shipping address, email address, phone number, payment details and order notes (if it includes personal data).
if you place an order via e-mail: your first and last name, billing address if applicable, shipping address, email address, phone number, payment details, order notes (if it includes personal data) and the content of your e-mail(s) (if it includes personal data such as birthdays, wedding days or other life events).
if you place an order via Instagram: your first and last name, your Instagram account name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, payment details, order notes (if it includes personal data) and the content of the Instagram messages (if it includes personal data).
If a third party places an order: your first and last name, shipping address, phone number (if provided by the third party), order notes (if it includes personal data) and the content of your e-mail(s) (if you send us any after receiving the order and if it includes personal data).
if you apply for a job/internship with us: your CV, motivation and related information.
How will we use personal data?

For how long will we store personal data?
We generally store information for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it and if we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for seven years for tax and accounting purposes. For our website orders these are the retention periods:
Inactive accounts: 1 month
Pending orders: 7 days
Failed orders: 7 days
Cancelled orders: 7 days
Completed orders: 7 years

For what purpose do we process personal data?
We use obtained personal data in the first place for the implementation of the agreement we have concluded with the customer in the context of offering products and services through our webshop and physical store and for internal administration. More specifically, we ask to share personal data with us for the following purposes:
for the purpose of establishing, maintaining and improving contractual relationship with (potential) customers, or for the improvement of services and products
for the execution of a purchase agreement
to register, handle and take care of any questions, complaints, returns and repairs.

Who can access personal data?
Our bookkeeper, bookkeeping system, hosting provider and other third party service providers have access to personal data, if necessary to provide their services. Our team members have access to personal date to help fulfill orders, process refunds and support you. Our Flower & Powers team members can access:
order information such as what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and
customer information such as names, email addresses, billing and shipping information, e-mails, Instagram messages and order notes.
We accept payments through PayPal, Apple Pay, iDEAL and Credit card. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to either PayPal, Apple Pay, iDEAL or a Credit Card company, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information. Please see the privacy policies of your preferred payment method provider for more information.
How to review, modify, delete and transfer personal data?
You have the right to see, correct or remove your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your possible consent for the data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by us and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can request us to send the personal data we have on you in a computer file to you or another organization designated by you.

Of course we are happy to help if you have any complaints about the processing of your personal data.
